Real tree branches have bends in them, so I bent them directions that felt natural. And then I started fluffing the leaves overall and actually figured out that by gently starting at the end of the branch going towards the trunk, covering my hand around it and sort of sliding backwards against the direction of the leaves (very gently) and crinkling some of them made them stand out from the branch further. Sort of like when you’re stripping a piece of Rosemary but being VERY careful on the tree to not to actually pull the leaves off or bend them too much. As you’re fluffing it, you can pull branches from the other side to fill in the sparse areas, especially if it’s going be against the wall or in a corner since the back side won’t matter so much. I’m surprised at how it’s filled in since I’ve been fluffing it. It only took me about 10 minutes of fluffing. And it looks a whole lot better. I’m very pleased with this.
