花气袭人知骤暖

摘要:

扩散运动是流体常见的运动形式之一。本文从中国古代诗歌中描写花香的佳句“花气袭人知骤暖”谈起,通过分析菲克定律和佩克莱数在流体扩散中的作用,讨论花香分子传播的基本原理,以此为引,漫谈流体力学中的扩散运动及其在机械、化工、生物卫生等领域的应用。

Abstract:

Diffusion motion is a common form of fluid motions. In this paper, by discussing the ancient Chinese poem “The fragrance of flowers touches the people as the messenger of the sudden warmth”, we investigate the underlying physical mechanism of the diffusion phenomena of enchanting flower fragrance. By comparing the differences in concentrations of fragrance molecules, we find the Fick's law and the Peclet's number play essential roles in the principles of fluid diffusion. We then discuss the phenomena of diffusion in everyday life, as well as its various engineering applications.
