早花银桂新品种‘光州银玉'

【目的】桂花（Osmanthus fragrans）是我国的十大传统名花之一,栽培历史悠久,花香浓郁,广泛应用于园林绿化、经济生产等方面。早花型桂花的选育可延长品种花期,营造早秋赏桂景观。【方法】从桂花实生苗中选育出特异性早花单株并对其无性系后代进行DUS（特异性、一致性、稳定性）测试。【结果】新品种‘光州银玉'叶小而繁密,具有秋季多次开花特性,其初花期较已知早花型桂花品种提前,花型小、呈乳白色,花期后不结果实。【结论】该品种在性状特征上与现有早花银桂品种差异显著,已通过木犀属植物栽培品种国际新品种登录;其耐寒性突出,是华中地区早秋景观营造的优良选育品种。

Abstract

【Objective】Osmanthus fragrans is one of the ten traditional famous flowers in China.It has a long history of cultivation, a strong fragrance, and widespread use in landscape gardening and economic production.The breeding of early-flowering Osmanthus can extend the flowering period of cultivars and create early scenery for appreciating O.fragrans.【Method】Specific early-flowering individual plants were selected from seedlings and their asexual offspring underwent DUS (Distinctness, Uniformity, Stability) testing.【Result】The new cultivar‘Guangzhou Yinyu'has small and dense leaves, blooms multiple times in autumn with the first flowering period earlier than known early-flowering cultivars.The flowers are small and milky white, and are infertile after flowering.【Conclusion】The characteristics of this cultivar are different from those of known early-flowering cultivars belonging to Albus Group, and it has been granted international new variety registration.It has good cold resistance and is an excellent variety suitable for early autumn viewing in Central China.
