摘要自古以来，花卉是人们在自然中遇到的最常见的审美对象。莲花因其旺盛的生命力在古埃及与古中国两大文明古国中占有重要的地位，备受欢迎与崇敬，引起人们的关注与思考。在古埃及，莲花是 “百花之王”，在古中国，莲花是最早进入文学领域的审美意象。莲花作为文化象征符号在两国产生了丰富的象征意义。从跨文化视角出发，运用跨学科研究方法，作者分析了莲花作为文化象征符号在古埃及与古中国神话中的象征并探讨其异同的原因。古埃及与古中国神话中的莲花象征由三部分构成：相似的宇宙象征与生命象征以及不同的象征。宇宙象征主要突出莲花意象在神话中的创造涵义以及宇宙观。生命象征包括莲花意象在神话中体现的生殖、死亡、重生、长生的征意蕴以及生命范式。不同象征指莲花意象在古埃及神话中的胜利涵义，古中国神话中的爱情内涵。基于瞿明安的象征人类学，莲花意象在古埃及与古中国神话中所体现的相似象征是由于象征的主体性与传承性；莲花意象在古埃及与古中国神话中传达出的不同象征意义是由于象征具有群体性，多重性与时空性。探讨莲花在古埃及与古中国神话传说中的象征意义可以展现两个民族各自的宇宙观、生命观和社会、文化现象。通过莲花象征体系管窥两个民族的文化历史与文明形态有助于埃及与中国更好地进行跨文化交流，提升全面战略伙伴关系，促进“一带一路”倡议的推进。关键词：莲花，象征，神话传说，古中国，古埃及 I Abstract Flowers are the most common aesthetic object people have encountered in nature since ancient times. The lotus flower with its vigorous vitality occupied an important position in ancient civilizations of Egypt and China, which attracts people’s attention and reflection.In ancient Egypt,lotus isthe “king of all flowers”.In ancient China,lotusisthe first aesthetic imagery in literature.As a cultural symbol, the lotus imagery generates rich symbolicmeaningsinboth countries. With an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspective, the author analyzes the symbolism of lotus as a cultural symbol in the mythology of ancient Egypt and ancient China and explores the reasons for the similar and different symbolic meanings. The symbolism of the lotus imagery in ancient Egyptian and Chinese mythology consists of three parts: the similar sub-symbolism of the cosmos and life, and different symbolic meanings.The sub-symbolism ofthe cosmosmainly highlightsthe connotation of creation and the views ofthe universe reflected by the lotus imagery in myths.The sub-symbolism oflife includesthe symbolicmeanings ofreproduction,death,rebirth, and immortality and lifeparadigm.Different symbolicmeaningsrefer tovictory
