2024年粤港澳大湾区花展主题花为大花飞燕草，因其独特花形，人们给它起名时联想到“燕鸟”或“海豚”。迁徙的燕雀代表高山，自由的海豚代表大海——设计以此切入，联结场地周围高楼大厦，共同交织绘就粤港澳大湾区 “山海连城、和谐共生”的生态文明画卷。设计模拟大花飞燕草原生境的草甸景观，介入大型大花飞燕草和明信片装置作为焦点。明信片上的诗歌引自林徽因《你是人间的四月天》，愿将“绿美湾区，诗意繁花”的祝福带给观众。
THEME FLOWER GARDEN – MOUNTAIN, SEA AND POEM OF DELPHINIUM
The theme flower of the 2024 Greater Bay Area Flower Show is delphinium. With its unique flower shape, people have associated it with "swallows," or "dolphins" when naming it. The migratory swallows represent the mountains, while the dolphins symbolize the sea. Based on this concept, the design aims to connect the surrounding high-rise buildings, creating an ecological and harmonious picture of "mountains and seas connecting the city, harmonious coexistence" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The design simulates the meadow landscape of the original habitat of delphinium, with a large-scale installation of delphinium and postcards as the focal point. The poem on the postcard is quoted from Lin Huiyin's "You Are the April of This World", carrying blessings of "Green and Beautiful Bay Area, Poetic and Flourishing Blooms" to the audience.
