‘rhe Comparison gtud-y ofForest Cen衙cadon Schemes and Its Countermeasures in China Abstract The purpose of this paper iS to provide the similarities and difierences of different forest certification schemes as well as its feasibilities contributing to SFM for various stakeholders in China through the comparison studv of current information．It primary defined the model of developing China’S forest certification schemes by the analysis of current forest certification development in China．especially by the SWOT analysis The context of the PaDer is two parts．0ne is the comparison study of four forest certification schemes(FSC，PEFC．SFI and CSA)，including the analysis of status， the comparison study of the four forest certification schemes based on 12 criteria which resulting from the analysis of credible certification systems emerged by various intemational organizations，especially the ISO Guide book．It concluded that the four forest certification schemes are based on different SFM process，supported bv di仃erent stakeholders．used for different forest types and SCales and met the basic requirements of credible forest certification schemes．But there are some difierences in following part．FSC iS也e only forest certification schemes that met the requirements of credible forest certification schemes．whether its process or its standard；血e other schemes alSO have some advantages should be considered，for example．SFI provides 3 various certification models and 1abels for forest enterprises， CSA follows the IS0 policy,PEFC iS as certification scheme by accredited the national standard and then recognized each other，a11 of these are reference to develop China forest certification schemes．0n the other hand．we prove it iS feasible and necessary to develop China’S forest certification schemes by analysis the status of arts of forest certification in China and around the world．There are 3 choices to develop China’s forest certification schemes，and point out the advantages and disadvantag
