Research progress on flower sex differentiation in cucurbit crops

Abstract：Cucurbita crops represent economicallsignificant agricultural products in China，valued both for their nutritionalrichnessandsubstantialeconomiccontribution toagriculturalproduction.Asmonoeciousplants，thesexdiferentiation process incucurbit crops，especiallthenumberoffemale flowers，directlyaffects theyieldofcucurbit crops.Inrecentyears，greatprogresshasbeenmadeinflowersexdiferentiationofcucurbitcropsatboth molecularandphysiologicallevels.Inthis paper，theefectsofplant hormone，genesand environmentalfactorsonflowersex differentiationofcucurbit crops are reviewed in order to provide referenceforfurther research on flower sex differentiation mechanism.
