Based on t he information obtained from ecological adaptability researches of clonal population in t he world , some concept s of clonal plant population ecology were defined . According to t he sp ecial habi tat of t he clonal plant in wetlands , t he adaptability of it s growt h p attern and it s effect mechanism , i . e . t he clonal plant t hrough t he change of t he hormone balance (t he ratio of IAA/ IPA) adj ust s t he active intensity and controls t he plant vegetative form , was discussed . The sp ecial prop agate coun termeasure and it s reproductive allocation and invest ment was reviewed and discussed in detail . And t he research met hods currently available was also introduced . The scale of research p ersp ective of e cological adaptability in wetland is suggested .
